The Pursuit of Happiness

July 18 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

In this four-part series, we will explore the themes and insights of Jeffrey Rosen’s acclaimed book, “The Pursuit of Happiness,” through the lens of Benjamin Franklin’s virtues. Although Franklin did not write a specific essay on the pursuit of happiness, he emphasized personal development, virtue, and reason as fundamental components of a fulfilling life. As Franklin wrote, “The desire of happiness in general is so natural to us that all the world is in pursuit of it.”

The first session will begin with streaming a select portion of Jeffrey Rosen’s dialogue with Gary Seiber from the speaker event on May 14th. This will be followed by a facilitated group discussion to delve deeper into the concepts presented, examining the five virtues with references from Rosen’s book. As a special offer, a free copy of Jeffrey Rosen’s book will be provided to the first 20 registrants. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions and own this influential work.
