GET INVOLVED
There are many ways to serve at Owls Club and every role is essential. Whether you are a member or a supporter of our mission, we have a spot for you. Do you have a passion for teaching? Love to meet and greet as a host? Play a mean hand of Euchre? We can use you! Here are some areas with immediate needs:
BECOME A HOST
- Greet and admit members into the building
- Assist members with check-in station
- Help members find their classes
TEACH A CLASS
- Create course content relevant to aging adults
- Deliver content as a single class or series of classes
- Examples: art classes, technology, spirituality, retirement planning, fitness, cooking, health management
SERVE AS AN ACTIVITY LEADER
- Coordinate and lead ongoing programming that meets weekly or bi-weekly
- Arrange for any supplies the group needs
- Examples: book club, card nights, bingo, coffee and crafts, knitting/crocheting
ASSIST WITH SPECIAL EVENTS
- Plan and facilitate member-wide events
- Serve as host for on-site and off-site events
- Help set up event space
PROVIDE OFFICE SUPPORT
- Answer phones
- Assist with mailings and other office tasks
- Print and post classroom signs
